Why the engine is in oil?
Some, especially "elderly" cars, suffermany diseases, one of which is the leakage of engine oil from the engine. It is typical for VAZ almost all models, plowing the vastness of our vast homeland. Of course, some "advanced" experts advise in such cases to change the car or, at worst, the gasket (preferably between the steering wheel and the seat). But this is a joke. And if seriously, then let's deal with it.
It happens that on the candle side the engine is thinlayer covers the engine oil. It is on the wires, and on the gasoline filter, and on the engine wall, and falls on the gasoline pump. And on top, right and front - the motor is dry.
Why the engine in oil and what to do in suchthe case? First of all, "on the cold", check the tightness under the gasoline pump and breather, see if the valve cover is screwed tight. Perhaps the oil is chasing the candle. It passes through the valve seals on the candle thread and is then blown out already on the block. In general, if carving candles in oil, this is bad and speaks of some wear and tear of the engine and its parts. Perhaps soon we will have to make a "capital".
Flashlight - to help
In general, take a closer look, does the engine "eat" the oil? Specs advise: start the engine and warm it, in the dark, with the LED flashlight at good speed to enlighten the entire compartment. Immediately you will see where the oil "figachit." It can also be squeezed out from under the head cover. Then it must be tightened properly. In general, thoroughly rinse the engine on top and sides (you can use special tools, you can use kerosene or gasoline), dry it and tighten all the bolts. It happens that this procedure helps to establish at least the place from which the oil flows. Also, it would not hurt to check the compression in the cylinders with a special device - it's quite simple to do, even without the help of a master. If, for example, the "nine" compression 8, then it's very bad! For "classics" the same figure is the lower norm.
One of the most common reasons "whyengine in oil? "on the" classic "- the crankshaft pulley. The oil is sprayed over the entire surface by a motor cooling fan. Causes - wear of the pulley surfaces in the region of the lip of the stuffing box. If, however, when replacing the stuffing box on the pulley, a deep groove from the stuffing box is found, it is necessary to change the pulley itself (moreover, check the diameter, the roughness of its surface for the stuffing box). Also sometimes it happens that the pulley burst when you put it on the crankshaft. This is the reason for the leakage and splashing of oil.
And it happens that the ventilation tube itself is clogged upCrankcase if it is connected to an air filter. A good option is to get the tube under the car. So do with the "elderly" engines many. It even helps. Only your car looks a little weird with a smoking tail under the bottom.
In some cases, there is a leak from the oilpoor quality and, accordingly, a dirty engine. In this case, flush the motor (good, special equipment is now sold abound) and change the oil to a better one.
But in general, as jesters-masters say, if it's a Soviet car and oil does not flow from it, then it simply does not exist! And in this, of course, there is some truth.
