What is an analog?
An analogue can be any object, reflecting almost exactly any facets of another object. In the role of the object can act as objects, and concepts and phenomena. The correspondence is not complete, otherwise the compared objects would be identical, but they are so close that they are completely interchangeable. Therefore, the question "what is an analogue" can be answered that it is something like the original object, but not the same.
The use of the word analogue
In which areas of life can we meet with thisconcept? It surrounds us everywhere. People often invent things that are very similar to each other, and many of them are analogues of each other. For example, this phenomenon is very common in medicine. You can find hundreds of drugs with a similar effect. Sometimes the composition of drugs completely coincides, differing only in name. In this case, we are talking about analogues of the drug.
The same applies to cosmetic products, household chemicals, food, things and much more.
There are analogues for different programs thatdiffer in name and interface, but perform the same functions. For example, the analogue of the Skype program, created for communication on the Internet, can be called the Viber program, which millions of users have already grown fond of. Analogues can be found among games and electronic devices, they are available for various technologies. Not everyone succeeds in inventing something fundamentally new, but analogues created on its basis can bring tremendous benefits to humanity.
