The cost of travel in the Moscow metro in 2019
Will the cost of travel in the metro of Moscow in 2019 change in connection with the construction of new ground branches? This question concerns residents of the capital, because the budget of the new project is estimated at more than a dozen billion rubles.
How much is the fare on the subway and what are the benefits of travel
Construction of additional land lines in the Russian capital will cost 155 billion rubles. It is this amount that the project for the construction of Moscow central diameters (IDC) estimated at RZD.
About the introduction of additional branches started talking last year, when they presented the draft to the head of state. The main goal of the construction is to create railway lines connecting different and opposite points of the region - for example, south-western Odintsovo and northern Lobnya. As noted in the estimates, the project is equally financed by the government of the capital and the railway company.
“155 billion rubles is an estimate of the total cost of all IDC projects for the future,” the Russian Railways said.
Today it is known about the construction of six lines, while two branches are planning to start in a year, in the fourth quarter of the next. In total, according to the mayor of Moscow, it is possible to enter up to 17 lines.
Of course, the question arises: “how much is the fare on new routes, is it worth waiting for a sharp jump from January 1, and what will be the benefits?”. The representatives of the mayor's office and the Russian Railways have not yet reported whether there will be an increase in tariffs. As for privileges for travel on commuter trains and electric trains, from August 1 of this year, some categories of citizens can use public transport for free. These include retirees, parents of large families, parents of children with disabilities, and others.
Card "Troika" - how much are trips for students
In connection with the upcoming construction of a large-scale project, concerns about a possible increase in the cost of travel are well grounded. In the meantime, the cost of travel in the subway starts from 36 rubles.
You can pay for travel in the metropolitan public transport in the following ways:
- cards "United" and "Troika";
- social cards of the student, student and Muscovite;
- contactless payment by VISA / MasterCard;
- Samsung Pay / Apple Pay applications and others.
The most common option - the card "Troika". Its main advantages over other payment options are that you can use, both in Moscow and the region, the ability to record paper tickets, free use.
Payment for travel on the Troika card with the “Wallet” tariff:
|Type of transport||The cost of one trip|
|ground transportation||36 rubles|
|metro / monorail||36 rubles|
|ground transportation, metro - tariff "90 minutes"||56 rubles|
It is worth choosing transport cards depending on the frequency of use of public transport. It is logical that a 60-fare card is cheaper than a 1-trip card - 55 rubles for a one-time trip or 29.41 rubles for a wholesale purchase. It should be remembered that the period of use depends on the number of trips - a 10-trip card will last longer than a single travel card.
As for students, for students and schoolchildren the rates are the same - 380 rubles for an unlimited fare for one month or 1140 rubles for a quarterly card.
