Seattle Personal Trainers Offer LGBTQ Specific Boot Camp for June Weddings
With Governor Gregoire’s signature on the Washington State marriage bill in place, Seattle-based personal trainers Hilary Paris and Stacey Sorgen have teamed up to offer a unique boot camp class experience, specifically geared toward inclusion of the LGBTQ community. The theme and focus center around exercise and wellness “for everyBODY”.
The six-class series will begin on February 25 at Energy Fitness and Wellness (2040 Westlake Ave. N.) through March 31.
Paris and Sorgen stress that this boot camp series is a great compliment to weekly workouts in a gym environment. The boot camp class format will encourage fun, community, friendly competition, and camaraderie while, at the same time, get women in shape for their impending June nuptials.
The integrated strength training will encourage development of lean body mass, while the intervals will help participants burn fat. Training sessions are 45 minutes long and will begin with a functional movement warm up, continue with a main set of timed conditioning intervals, and close with a guided cool-down.
This class type in Seattle is unique to ModBody Pilates and Fitness, owned and operated by Stacey Sorgen.
