On completion of the restoration of the house Konovalov need 25 million rubles
As the mayor of Vichuga, Vyacheslav Stupin, said, last year more than 9 million rubles were spent on repair and restoration work in the city’s cultural center.
The building of the State Culture Center - People’s House Konovalov is a sample of neoclassicism and an architectural monument of regional importance, designed by the architect Pavel Malinovsky. The construction of the building began in 1914 at the expense of manufacturer Alexander Konovalov. After the revolution, from 1915 to 1925, the construction works were supervised by metropolitan architects Viktor Vesnin and Nikita Lazarev.
According to the mayor, the overhaul and restoration of the interior began in 2001. The work is carried out "Ivanovorestavratsiya". Last year, work was completed on the first and second floors. The concert hall with 900 seats and the facade were also repaired.
For six years, more than 20 million rubles have been allocated for work.Nevertheless, another 25 million rubles is needed to complete the restoration work.
