The provision of high-quality energy to consumers is a state issue, but its solution often remains only a formality. As a result, with frequent breaks or power surges, expensive equipment may be damaged or a short circuit may occur. Another situation when it is necessary to solve the problem of obtaining electricity on their own, is the organization of the work of the construction or repair brigade, the installation of a shopping box or a tent, the organization of outdoor activities, etc.

Such issues can be solved by installing an autonomous energy source at the facility. Recently, diesel power plants (DES) have become widespread, since they are more economical and reliable compared to other plants.For servicing small capacities, an air-cooled station is suitable, which can play a reserve role. Today, in many companies is available as a purchase, and rent DES.

Cooling system: air or liquid?

What is the difference between air-cooled and liquid-cooled DES? Liquid cooled plants are designed for high power, they are more cumbersome, so they work stationary.

According to the principle of work distinguish:

  • three-phase installation, issuing two voltage values;
  • single-phase installations, which have only one value.

Obvious ease of use of DES with air cooling can be attributed to the compactness and mobility, it is them most often rented by consumers. The only drawback of such equipment is quite a high level of noise. But they are very convenient to move from one object to another due to their small size, so the cost of transportation and installation will be minimal.

By the type of electromagnetic field, diesel engines are divided into:

  • synchronous,
  • asynchronous.

The units of the first type have more moving mechanisms, therefore, are considered less reliable.Accordingly, asynchronous devices have a longer life and are therefore preferable.
