Laing O’Rourke will participate in the reconstruction of the Sydney Opera
The Australian division of the British company Laing O’Rourke won a tender for the role of the contractor for the first phase of the Sydney Opera House’s reconstruction program. Over the next five years, projects worth a total of $ 250 million will be implemented.
In its address this week, Laing O'Rourke called the program the most significant work package since the opening of the Opera in 1973. The program includes upgrading the two largest internal volumes of the building - the concert hall and the Joan Sutherland theater - as well as improving the entrance and lobby center and hall for receptions and celebrations.
