Independent selection of siding panels
Modern materials for siding are able to transform even the most homely house. But the current variety of material, colors, textures and design often confuse a person when choosing this finishing material. In addition, poorly informed buyers can get into a mess by acquiring frankly poor-quality siding panels that are not designed for these climatic conditions at all or without taking into account the specifics of a particular structure.
The logical question is: how to choose the "right" and high-quality cladding panels for the facade of the house? The answer is simple: you must carefully examine the proposed product and not be afraid to ask the seller meticulously about all the details. And yet, you can take "on board" a few simple tips
Tip one: pay attention to the color of the panels. Both sides of the proposed material must be painted exactly the same and evenly. At the same time, the modification of the product — metal siding or, for example, plastic — does not make any difference.
Tip Two: carefully examine the side cut panel. The thickness of the material should be uniform over the entire length of the cut. Otherwise, we can talk about poor-quality factory casting of the material. This, in turn, is fraught with the appearance of chips and cracks in the future.
The third tip: no burrs and all sorts of surface irregularities. This, of course, is not about intentional irregularities provided by the texture and design of concrete siding panels. For example, if you intend to buy brick siding, then such material, a priori, will be uneven. The main thing is that roughness, waviness, notches and the like should not occur on the edges of the material. Those. where they fit or fasten. To do this, just hold your finger or palm on the material.
Fourth tip: check for an anti-uregano lock. Thanks to this element, especially if metal shipboard siding is used, the stability and reliability of the entire facade finish is increased. It is made in the form of a characteristic bend above the holes for fastening the panel itself.
Council of the fifth and last: the thickness of siding panels should be in the range of 1-1.2 mm.This is the recommended standard for, for example, Central Russia, Primorsky Krai, Belarus, the Baltic States and Ukraine. This thickness is optimal for seasonal temperature differences for these regions. For the Far North or Siberia, thickened siding is preferable. Extremely rare panels of smaller thickness, it is better not to buy at all.
Summing up all of the above, it is worth adding that the momentary savings on high-quality building material in the future turns into an expensive alteration. So, buying a siding basement, vinyl or metal should not be focused on low cost. Miserly, as they say, pays twice. If not thrice.
