Ways to eliminate gaps in the Word
- The most common cause of large gapsbetween the words in the Word is the alignment of the text to the width. If this is not a required condition for formatting the text, you can select all the text or its fragment and make the alignment "Left". To do this, click on the "Home" tab with a button with horizontal dashes aligned to the left.
- Another way to remove unnecessary gaps -use the "Replace" function. In the versions of the Word from 2007 and 2010. it is located on the right side of the control panel on the Home tab. In the 2003 Word, the "Replace" function needs to be called through the "Edit" tab. When you click on "Replace", a dialog box appears before you. In the "Find" column, two spaces should be put, in the column "Replace with" - one space. After that, you click "Replace All". The procedure should be repeated until the editor replaces all repeated spaces with single ones and shows you 0 as the result of the replacements performed.
- Large gaps between words in thecreate not only double spaces, but also other invisible signs. In order for them to become visible, you need to click the "Show all signs" button, which is designated as "Pi" and is located on the control panel in the "Paragraph" section, on the "Home" tab. After all the invisible icons become visible to you, you can copy them one at a time and insert the "Replace" function in the dialog box. In this case, you insert the copied character in the "Find" line, and leave the "Replace with" line empty and fill it with a single space.
